The base is very easy to install and it makes a click sound when you attach the car seat to it that way you know it has attached correctly. We own two bases, one on my Mazda 3 and one on my husband's Toyota Camry. The anti-rebound bar of the base makes it the safest car seat in its class. She falls asleep almost immediately as we star driving. This seat fills very secured and looks like comfortable and our daughter likes to drive in it. We were able to install it into VW Rabbit, not the biggest car, of course you can't use passenger's seat but it's OK for us. What we can say - if you try it you can install it everywhere. When we received it we were able to install it without any problem into the middle section of out vehicle.
We preorder it but found that most reviewers unhappy because it very big and can't be fit into car like Volvo, Subary and other sedan and SUV. We decide to try latest Chaperone car seat. After several days of this research we both agreed to buy Britax because of all safety features it has. OK, while my wife was pregnant we spent a lot, I mean a LOT of time researching infant car seat for our first baby. This is a quality product from a brand that is trustworthy and honest. You don't want the car seat and the baby sliding all over the place. Again another important aspect when choosing a car seat. I felt that the installation process was easy and that the car seat was very secure. As if your child isn't comfortable, you aren't leaving the house. My son looked super comfortable in his car seat and that is also an important. As not all car seats are equal and you really want your baby to be as safe as possible. What really sold me on this car seat is the safety features. It is a heavy car seat but I didn't mind at all as I call it the mommy work out to take the baby in and out of the car. I love the red color and the stylish design. It worked very well with my Britax B-ready stroller. We used it for my son when he was under one years old and will use it again if we should have a third child. I am very pleased with my Britax Chaperone.
